Next weekend, May 19 and May 20, 2018 is the Chester County Studio and it is a great opportunity to not only see the work that is being created in beautiful Chester County, it is also a way to add to or begin your art collection starting with the County Collector. Each participating artist has created an original piece of art on a 6″x6″ piece of board is framed and priced at $75.00.  Each artist will have their County Collector piece prominently displayed at their studio. It will be available on Saturday, May 19, 2018 at 10:00 am.

Several years ago I had an ongoing series on my blog called Artist as Collector. I invited artists to share with us a piece of art that they have in their home or studio by another artist. Each story shared the connection the owner had with the artist- or the piece. Some of the work was purchased, others were traded, found or inherited. It was great fun to read the story behind each work of art, and I loved when the artist/collector included a photo of where it was hung.

My house is full of art- my own and others. Again, some was gifted, some purchased, some traded. I love it all.
