We’re all so over “it”. The masks, the restrictions, and the divisiveness– to say the least.
That said, I do have a confession.
I liked not being in the car so much and not feeling guilty if I wasn’t working out because the gym was closed. I loved spending more time with Scott and having Nate home with us. The dogs were thrilled. We counted our blessings and shared them with others in a number of ways. There was a quiet peacefulness when we could turn away from or tune out the rhetoric, onslaught of strife and injustice.
and, here’s my guilty pleasure…I had fun. Yes, fun in a surreal and absurd way. There were plenty of endless meetings on Zoom, but most often I shared that virtual space with some pretty awesome people who inspired me in so many ways. Many, if not most, of the subjects are artists, educators, and people that I share space with in my role as Executive Director of Delaware Institute for the Arts in Education.
And that’s why I’m super excited to invite you to:
Unmasked: Portraits from the Zoom Room.
Opening Reception: Wednesday, November 17, 4:40-6:30 pm
The Mill, 1007 N. Orange St., 4th Floor, Wilmington, DE
Would love to see you there if you’re in the area!
Wishing you peace and love,
